New York – Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has condemned “in the strongest possible terms” the terrorist bombings in the Syrian capital, Damascus, this morning which have left dozens killed and injured.
New York – As refugees continue to flee the violence in Syria, the United Nations humanitarian chief today called on the international community to help the country’s neighbours as they struggle to deal with the worsening crisis.

New York – United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced today the appointment of Mr. Abdullah Al Matouq of Kuwait as his Humanitarian Envoy for Kuwait.
