Once a year, a Christmas Party is organised for children up to the age of 12 who have been victim of abuse. “Through the hard work of the staff members funds have been raised within the community and with the help of volunteers we have been able to provide the children with a much needed day of fun activities” stated Elizabeth Mokoena, Programme manager at the Kidz Clinic. “The generous donations”, she continues, “enabled us to give all children a new school bag and Christmas presents”.

This year UNV supported the event by providing 2 jumping castles for the children. Furthermore, 3 UN Volunteers assisted at the event. Over a 100 children participated and with the help of a total of 20 volunteers and contributions of the local church and community members the event was very successful.
