The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), on behalf of the World Humanitarian Summit Secretariat, is launching a short film contest to bring attention to the upcoming World Humanitarian Summit and related regional activities. The film should be no more than four minutes in length and must concentrate on one of the four themes of the Summit, in the context of Eastern and Southern Africa:
1. Humanitarian Effectiveness
2. Reducing vulnerability and managing risk
3. Transformation through innovation
4. Serving the needs of people in conflict
The contest is open to the public.
First prize is US$ 3000. Deadline for submission is 30 September.
