Application to 51st Graduate Study Programme: United Nations Office at Geneva

Pretoria – Dear partners, I would like to draw your attention to the 51st annual Graduate Study Programme (GSP), which is scheduled to take place in Geneva, at the Palais des Nations, from 1 to 12 July 2013.

This year’s programme will focus on “Gender equality and the empowerment of women”This annual two-week programme for graduate students from all over the world is organized by the United Nations Information Service in Geneva.

We would be grateful if you could bring the information on this programme to the attention of interested institutions and students. The Graduate Study Programme provides an opportunity for outstanding young postgraduate students from all over the world to deepen their understanding of the United Nations system through first-hand observation and study at the United Nations Office at Geneva.

The postgraduate students invited to attend this Study Programme will be selected on the basis of their academic experience and motivation, with due regard to equitable geographical and gender distribution. Candidates must be between 23-35 years of age.  As the programme will be conducted in English and French without interpretation, candidates must have a good knowledge of both languages.

Postgraduate students interested in the 2013 Graduate Study Programme must submit their application before the deadline of 15 February 2013 directly to the United Nations Office at Geneva. The application form and detailed information are available on our for English and for French. This year, application as well as the requested documents will have to be submitted online.

Selected candidates will be notified by mid-April 2013.

Please note that participation in the programme is free.  The United Nations does not provide assistance towards the travel and living expenses of participants.
