Postponement of Samuel Eto’o’s Visit

25 June 2009 | Uncategorized

We wish to announce that, due to unfortunate circumstances beyond control, soccer star, Samuel Eto’o’s visit to South Africa to assist the ONE Movement to combat racism and xenophobia has been postponed till further notice.

The Samuel Eto’o Foundation and IOM are still working together and committed to the cause. However, the parties feel that it is in the best interest of the cause to postpone the event in the interest of maximizing the time and availability of Samuel Eto’o to work in promoting unity and inclusivity in South Africa and Africa as a whole. This will also give the soccer star sufficient time to ensure that he effectively delivers his messages and the values he stands for throughout the country and the continent. A new date for the event will be announced in due course.
